In seiner Freizeit ist er regelm\u00e4\u00dfig mit dem Fahrrad am Niederrhein und in der niederl\u00e4ndischen Provinz Limburg unterwegs. Seine Leidenschaft geh\u00f6rt der vielf\u00e4ltigen Landschaft seiner Heimat und ihren Menschen. Der Autor ist Mitglied im VDS \u00b7 Verband Deutscher Sportjournalisten e.V. und im Vorstand des ADFC \u00b7 Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club e.V. in M\u00f6nchengladbach.
