Mai 1867 geboren.<br>Nach Ende seiner kaufm\u00e4nnischen Lehre 1886 kam er nach Einbeck.<br>Durch Kundenbesuche in der n\u00e4heren und weiteren Umgebung lernte er die Bedeutung des Fahrrades kennen, das in jener Zeit seinen Siegeszug antrat&#8230;<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><strong><em>Ein Beitrag&nbsp;von Maxi Kutschera<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>August Stukenbrok&nbsp;erkannte eine Marktchance und begann nebenbei ein&nbsp;Fahrradhandel aufzubauen.&nbsp;Am 1. Juni 1890 er\u00f6ffnete er eine eigene Fahrradhandlung. Innerhalb weniger Jahre wuchs diese zu einem Unternehmen mit mehreren Hundert Besch\u00e4ftigten an.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1906 vertrieb er t\u00e4glich \u00fcber sechzig R\u00e4der der Marke &#8222;Deutschland-Fahrr\u00e4der&#8220;<\/li>\n<li>etwa 2-3.000 Bestellungen wurden t\u00e4glich versandfertig gemacht<\/li>\n<li>1911 hatte er schon 600.000 st\u00e4ndige Kunden<\/li>\n<li>400 Angestellte unterst\u00fctzen ihn<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>J\u00e4hrlich publizierte er mindestens einen&nbsp;Hauptkatalog. Dar\u00fcber hinaus gab es f\u00fcr bestimmte Warengruppen auch Spezial-Kataloge. In manchen Jahren hatte er auch mehrere Hauptkataloge mit verschiedenen Covern. Weltkrieg unterbrach seine Erfolge,&nbsp;doch schon in 1927 betrug sein Unternehmensumsatz 6,5 Millionen Mark. Er baute zahlreiche Tochtergesellschaften, Fabrik-Niederlagen und firmeneigene Ladengesch\u00e4fte auf.<br>Durch die Weltwirtschaftskrise fielen Teile des alten Kundenkreises wegen Arbeitslosigkeit aus.<br>August Stukenbrok&nbsp;starb am 4.
